SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" (www.score.org) is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (www.sba.gov). The SCORE Foundation last year raised more than $1 million from corporations and individuals to support the association’s goals.

With 370 chapters nationwide, SCORE provided assistance to 357,637 clients, many of them women or minority owned businesses, during 2008. Its 11,200 volunteers contributed 1.3 million hours of their time to mentor small business owners in over 300,000 online and face-to-face counseling sessions last year alone.
